A platform, a movement, and a cultural archive built to protect, evolve, and project Australian electronic music forward.
Founded by Jason Midro
Dance Music Australia is shaped by more than thirty‑five years immersed in electronic music culture at its highest and rawest levels.
Jason became internationally recognised not only as a DJ performing on major main stages, but as a curator trusted and respected by the world's leading DJs and artists. Through the Ministry of Sound Hard NRG series, he introduced many internationally respected artists to Australian audiences, helping define their touring success and elevating their profile across the country.
Known for uncompromising performances and a fearless presence behind the decks, Jason earned a reputation as a boundary pusher — sometimes controversial, always authentic.
Dance Music Australia is not built to extract value from artists. It is built to revive an industry, rebuild trust, and return Australian electronic music to the forefront of global culture where it once stood.
DMA exists to unite legacy and future: the history that built the underground, and the new sound that will define what comes next. This is not a genre, a trend, or a moment. It is a living ecosystem for producers, DJs, labels, artists, and communities operating beyond commercial formulas.
DJ, curator, and architect of Dance Music Australia. Built on three and a half decades inside the culture he's now working to rebuild.
Every decision runs through the music. Trends don't get a vote.
Built to rebuild trust with artists — not extract value from them.
Legacy and future, united. The underground evolves or it dies.
The producers, DJs, and curators carrying the sound forward. Bios and press shots are being added on a rolling basis.

Before there were words there was vibration. Before language, before mathematics was written down, the universe was already speaking. Every star hums, every atom vibrates, every living cell pulses with electrical rhythm. What if the ancient world understood something? We're only just rediscovering that reality itself is built on frequency.
